DROP KERB CONTRACTORS

A dropped kerb is necessary as a crossover for cars to drive from the front of the property without causing damage to the footpath or the utilities beneath. Highways Authority Approved

KANDAP’s Drop Kerb delivery teams are fully approved by your Highways Authority to deliver a Vehicle Access (also known as a Drop Kerb, VXO, Vehicle Crossover, Drop Curb, Dropped Kerb, Vehicle Access, Highways Access, Driveway Access) Permission must be sought from your Highways Agency and a License to dig the Road issued before work can commence.

As drop kerb specialists we can certainly save you £100’s in costs and sometimes £1,000’s over the price of your local council or highways department. We can also handle all the council and planning permission application for you. This License required depends on the Highway Authority but includes a Section 171, a Section 184, a Section 278 and we can take care of all this for you, along with the actual delivery and installation of your new Drop Kerb.

We hold all of the necessary qualifications including NRSWA Supervisors and Operatives Streetworks Licenses & Public Liability Insurance that are required to do this work and to work in the Highway.

Do you offer a guarantee?

We offer a 12 Month guarantee on all our work which is backed up by your Local Highways Authority.

How long will it take to deliver the work?
Normally it is one to two days to complete the work.
Is Planning Permission required?
Planning Permission is not normally required unless you live on what is termed a Classified Road eg A,B or C roads. Kandap Ltd can advise you of the need for Planning Permission when we do our free of charge site survey.
